Building upon many years of privately shared thoughts on the real benefits of Stoic Philosophy, Liam Milburn eventually published a selection of Stoic passages that had helped him to live well. They were accompanied by some of his own personal reflections. This blog hopes to continue his mission of encouraging the wisdom of Stoicism in the exercise of everyday life. Diogenes for the Day, 7/19/2018
Still, he was loved by the Athenians. At all events, when a youngster broke up his tub, they gave the boy a flogging and presented Diogenes with another.
Dionysius the Stoic says that after the Battle of Chaeronea, he was seized and dragged off to Philip of Macedon, and being asked who he was, replied, "A spy upon your insatiable greed." For this he was admired and set free.
