One day treats us like a hireling nurse, another like a mother.
Now, does the nurse just give you whatever you want to keep you quiet while your mother actually holds you to a standard, or does the nurse give you the absolute bare minimum she can get away with while the mother actually meets your needs?
Neglect in either case, but I wonder which he had in mind.
