Building upon many years of privately shared thoughts on the real benefits of Stoic Philosophy, Liam Milburn eventually published a selection of Stoic passages that had helped him to live well. Dhammapada 270
A man is not an elect because he injures living creatures; because he has pity on all living creatures, therefore is a man called Ariya.
What's Ariya mean?
ReplyDeleteAlong the lines of "noble" or "pure". This translation seems to regularly use the term "elect".
