Dhammapada 294, 295

A true Brahmana goes scatheless, though he have killed father (Conceit) and mother (Craving), and two valiant kings (Eternity-belief and Annihilation-belief), though he has destroyed a kingdom (sense objects) with all its subjects (attachments).

A true Brahmana goes scatheless, though he have killed father and mother, and two holy kings, and an eminent man (Doubt) besides.

  1. I was looking for the meaning of father, mother, two kings, and the eminent man. Thank you for this little but important post. It is like an old Buddhist riddle. I hope you are safe and well. Blessings
