Building upon many years of privately shared thoughts on the real benefits of Stoic Philosophy, Liam Milburn eventually published a selection of Stoic passages that had helped him to live well. They were accompanied by some of his own personal reflections. This blog hopes to continue his mission of encouraging the wisdom of Stoicism in the exercise of everyday life. All the reflections are taken from his notes, from late 1992 to early 2017.

Sayings of Publilius Syrus 95
There is but a step between a proud man's glory and his disgrace.
A young athletic man in college and Army Rotc going through some tough medical times right now - had to take a step back, put my ego aside, and slow life down for a bit. One of my friends had the quote on his wall "...the impediment to action advances the action..." and after a few google searches came across your blog. I will continue to read more of your posts - just wanted to say thanks. Hopefully the study of stoicism will assist me in this time.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you can find something of help here for the struggle. Always feel free to e-mail at stoicusok@gmail.com with any questions or requests.
