II.  

Those actions which are purely ours are free
By nature such, as cannot hinder'd be,
Above the stroke of chance or destiny.
But those, o'er which our pow'r does bear no sway
Are poor, another's, servile, and obey
The hind'rance of each rub, that stops the way.
