Building upon many years of privately shared thoughts on the real benefits of Stoic Philosophy, Liam Milburn eventually published a selection of Stoic passages that had helped him to live well. They were accompanied by some of his own personal reflections. This blog hopes to continue his mission of encouraging the wisdom of Stoicism in the exercise of everyday life. All the reflections are taken from his notes, from late 1992 to early 2017.

Really?
"I think I'm a really good Stoic, and I've been doing it for a few months now. Would it be okay if I started a porn web site? It would make me good money. Stoics are liberal and progressive, right?"
"I am living a Stoic life, but I don't understand why virtue is so important. What does that even mean? Is that even a word that matters? It''s so vague, and so unscientific."
"I'm confused. I've been a Stoic for a year now. How will Stoicism help me get pleasure?"
"I've realized the biggest flaw in Stoicism, because I want to be happy, and Stoics wont let me be happy. I want to have fun. . . . . Stoicism won't get me laid."
"My girlfriend sleeps with other men, but I put up with it. Is that Stoic?"
"I love this Stoic stuff. It helps me make more profit in my business. You guys rock!"
"Where do I go to be a better Stoic? How much will it cost to do it, like books and courses and subscriptions?"
